Hello!
This is the first newsletter for 2009! Our lives have been beyond busy the last few months.
Our 2nd grandson, Landon arrived into the world on Dec.16th. Don't you just love babies! He was only a few week old and it was discovered that he had pyloric stenosis, which is where his stomach wasn't emptying into his small intestine. It is quite common and after a stay at Arkansas Children's Hospital, with a 15 minute operation, he is as good as new!
How do you like the new viewer on the website? I have been playing with my new Flip Video and have some more practicing to do, but very excited to be able to show video of the puppies to their new families.
We have had nothing but rain the last month! I love the rain, but this is too much!
Thank you for all the pictures at Christmas. We LOVE receiving all the family photos. I have included a few below and will include more in the next newsletter.
If you would like provide a testimonal and/or have a picture to share, please send it our way. We are adding them to the viewer in the previous puppies page. The newborn all the way to the current pictures will be displayed.
I have been working on keeping families more current to the happenings here at Wisteria Ranch on our blog at www.wisteriagoldens.com/blog. Come join us there!
We have a new male, Buddy -- pictures coming soon!
Hope all is well with all of you
Many Blessings!
Billy & Debbie
Things To Consider
"Introducing Pets to a New Puppy"
If you have a pet and want to bring a new puppy into the home, it is best to do the introductions properly in order to reduce any jealously or anxiety to your older pet. It is a bit like preparing an older child for the new sibling that is coming home.
If you already have a pet that does not accept or get along with other dogs, then getting a new puppy is not a good idea.
Introduce a puppy in a neutral area -- such as the yard or in the house in an area that is not the older pet's "area."
Do not do introductions at meal time. Make sure you always separate them when feeding.
It is important that each pet have their own food, toys, crate, and bed. Show the older pet that their place in your family is still the same.
ALWAYS supervise an older dog with a new puppy until you are absoutely sure they have accepted each other's presence. You want to know their relationship is a good one to ensure the puppy's safety.
Puppies can be irritating to an older dog, just as a toddler can be to an older child!
Adjustments can take a while, so be patient -- it could take a week or two for the adjustment to be complete.
Remember to give plenty of attention to the older pet, as well as give them the attention first when petting and then to the puppy -- this helps to maintain the relationship for the puppy that he is the new member of the "pack" and elders are to be respected. Always feed the older dog first, then the puppy.
Providing a good environment for them to get to know each other, helps them to develop a long lasting bond within the family!

KANGEN WATER™
Just like people, our pets need fresh, clean, healthy water in order to stay at the top of their game. Did you know that pets are developing debilitating and even fatal diseases and issues at an alarming rate? These include diabetes, arthritis and weigh problems, just to name a few.
Many pets are finding relief to their problems by drinking KANGEN WATER™. If you have a pet that could use a boost in energy or has a condition that has their tail wagging a little bit less, get some FREE samples of Kangen Water and see if it helps them out.
I have received a few emails from families who have been using the KANGEN WATER™ System and having great results with their older pets, as well as themselves!
