Hello!
Where has the year gone? I can't believe it is already December! We had a great Thanksgiving. We celebrated on Saturday as that is the only time we could all get together in one location.
Our son and his wife should have their baby next week -- we can hardly wait until our grandson arrives. Braiden who is now 4 is very excited to welcome his baby brother into the world, as well as mom and dad. I guess the whole family is excited!
I am in the process of making some changes to our website. We have added a viewer to display pictures. This will not only help to display better pictures of the current litter of puppies, it will help to archive the past litters better on the website. I am going to be able to add video too! I ordered my new Flip Video Camera today -- it has a usb port and from my understanding you film, upload, and you are ready to go.
Do you have a testimony and/or a picture to share? Send it my way so I can add it to the site, we are also updating and rearranging this page and would love to showcase your Wisteria puppy!
I am still working on writing more consistently on our blog. I need to work it into my schedule.

You may have noticed that Harley is no longer on our site. We found out a few weeks ago that he is sterile. We are so disappointed, and were looking forward to having puppies with him. Of course, we found a great forever home for him and he is being very loved and adored!
We still have a few Cavalier puppies that are looking for a new home, so if you know anyone that would be a great match for a Cavalier puppy, send them our way.
Hope all is well your way!
Many Blessings!

Things to Consider: Dogs & Thunderstorms
Our two older Goldens, Rusty (11) and Sadie (10) started being scared during storms a couple of years ago. They never used to be afraid of storms, and we are not sure what started this fear, but are working to help them cope when they are happening. Neither one of them are afraid of loud noises, just thunderstorms.
I have been doing some research, and am finding that it while the fear of thunderstorms does not effect all dogs, it's quite common.
We have been using a couple natural calmiing agents that seem to work really well. D.A.P. Comfort Zone spray and Pet Calm from PetAlive.com are the two products we have been trying. These can be used for calming during thunderstorms, firework displays, as well as travel, new environments, and trips to the vet or groomer.
Comfort Zone is a spray that releases pheromones and works well. I sprayed it one afternoon in my office during a storm and Rusty calmed down and was much more comfortable, but I felt extremely sleepy as well. <grin> It actually only works on dogs; other animals or humans are not effected. It was a great excuse though to take a nap.
Pet Calm is blend of natural herbal ingredients that are in a granular form. They also did the trick for calming both dogs. This products works directly on the dogs and I can't claim any side effects. LOL
Some of the suggestions for solving the problem of fear of thunderstorms I have found are:
1. Desensitize the dog to loud noises -- visit The Paper Back Game for one way to train.
2. Put your dog in a place where they feel safe -- an interior room (no windows)
3. Play white noise -- radio, tv, etc anything to help mask the sound.
4. A tight fitting t-shirt. (ok, I am not sure about this one, but read it on several sites)
5. Using anxiety solutions like D.A.P Comfort Zone Spray or Pet Calm.
Other recommendations are to NEVER baby your dogs when frightened by thunder, fireworks, or other loud noises. It reinforces they they have something to fear. This includes petting and reassuring -- "it's okay" in a soft cooing voice. Act like nothing is wrong and everything is ok.
We have found some coping skills for them, but am finding that this can happen with older dogs.
We also working on training our younger dogs that loud noises are nothing to fear.

KANGEN WATER™
I attended a conference last July and saw a demonstration on the KANGEN WATER™ System. I was completely impressed with what it could mean for our health. I had so much going on that I put it on the back burner to "check out later."
I recently returned from another business conference in November and sat next to a lady that has been using her system for a few months. We started talking and she handed me a brochure on the health benefits to pets! Now, she had my attention!
I ended up talking with several other people that have been using the KANGEN WATER™ System -- some for a few months and others several months. Everyone I talked to had a great testimony of what the water had done for not only their health, but their family, friends, as well as their pets!
